Municode - Search

It's interesting to note that as Louisiana gets more conservative it is also getting more restrictive on our rights.

For instance, the city of Kenner restricts freedom of speech, one of the main reasons for our country's fight for independence, by making it illegal to waive signs in public.

These hypocrites like to sling around slogans such as 'patriotism' and cherish songs like 'where at least I know I'm free' and yet when reality requires they actually practice those tenets they fail miserably.

The worst part is we allow them to do this to us.

We need to stop singing silly songs and live out the purpose of this country!

It shall be unlawful for any person to loiter, wave any signs or wear billboards on any public streets, servitude, or right-of-way, including any part of the street between the curb and lateral line of the roadway and the adjacent property line and medians.
